Funding is the lifeblood of research. Research funding comes from a variety of sources:

• Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC)
• Other UK Research and Innovation councils
• Industry, especially ARM, which is based nearby
• Government
• Charitable organizations
  • These typically come through CUDAR, the University’s development and alumni office

Since Brexit, European funding has become somewhat tricky to obtain and, at present, there is no clarity about availability of funds from the Horizon Europe Programme.
