• The one-year MPhil in Advanced Computer Science is a general Masters degree, preparing students for PhD study in Computer Science. The program is called Part III if students continue from an undergraduate degree from Cambridge, or M.Phil, if they did their undergraduate degree elsewhere. In either case, students do a certain number of courses, called modules (currently 5), take a research skills program, and do a supervised project.
Instructors offer one or more M.Phil. modules, mostly in the Michaelmas and Lent terms and also make available projects that they are willing to supervise for Master’s students. These projects are listed on the MPhil website and need to be sent to the graduate office by the end of September.
